A neighborhood group is asking the Roseville City Council to overturn approval of a shopping center with a 24-hour gas station and three drive-throughs, arguing the city has not adequately studied how the development would affect nearby homes. The council will hear the appeal Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The development, known as Sierra View Shopping Center, was approved by the Planning Commission on Aug. 13. City staff recommend that the council deny the appeal, which would keep that approval in place. Under city code, the council's decision on an appeal is final.
